The Indonesian champ is vowing to give
his latest challenger the same treatment.

World Champion Indonesian boxer Chris John Chris John says he will attempt to knock out challenger Fernando David Saucedo in the title fight in Bali on May 22, 2010.

“I have this wish, but I cannot [say] in what round,” the super feather weight champion said in Semarang Tuesday.

The boxer who had fought 43 times with 22 KO wins and two draws, said he would use every chance to knock Fernando out.

“The sooner the better,” said the champ, who had defended his title 12 times since he snatched the crown from Colombian boxer Oscar Leon in Bali in 2003.

He added that to improve his fighting technique in Bali, hehad  trained with three sparring partners, namely Thomas and Sahlan from the Mirah Silver Boxing Camp, and Williem Kicket from Herry’s Gym in Perth, Australia.

“Willem Kicket arrived here four days ago,” the father of two daughters said.

Asked whether he also needed sparring partners who fight like El Vasco, as Fernando David Saucedo is normally addressed to, he said the three boxers had been asked to fight like Fernando.

“We have studied Fernando’s fighting style, and the three sparring partners have been told to fight like Fernando,” said Chris, whose latest fight was when he beat American Rocky Juarez on September 19 last year.

He said he was yet to sign a contract with the promoter.

“Normally such contract is signed close to a fight,” he said.
