"Boedi Oetomo - May, 20 1908"Every May, 20 Indonesian celebrate National Revival Day. 101 year ago on May, 20 1908 there was the birth day of the first political organization named Boedi Oetomo that consist of young Indonesian who declare themselves to fight about their right to be free against colonialism that happen in Indonesia by the Dutch. This organization was motored by Dr.Soetomo, Dr.Wahidin Soedirohoesodo, Dr.Goenawan and Suryadi Suryaningrat (or well knowed as Ki Hajar Dewantara, one of Indonesian Education Figure). Because of this organization, the Indonesian awake from its long sleep and prepare themselves to fight for their freedom. Cause of that the Indonesian Government take the birth day of Boedi Oetomo as the National Revival Day to honor all who behind this organization. Indonesian hoist "Merah Putih" flag in all their home to celebrate this day. Although this was not off day Indonesian still remembered it and celebrate this day every year. Just right after May, 20 2009 there was off day in Indonesia (on May, 21 2009) to celebrate the ascesion day of Jesus Christ that commemorate by all Indonesian Christian.
