Concerned with Jakarta, Habibie Call Fauzi Bowo


Former President Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, was concerned about the various issues raised in Jakarta. For that, he deliberately invited the Governor of DKI Jakarta Fauzi Bowo to meet and exchange ideas in order to find a better way out.

The meeting which took place at the residence of BJ Habibie in the area of Patra Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday (09/23/2010) afternoon lasted for about three hours.

Fauzi Bowo came with his team, which among others consists of the Head of Spatial DKI Wiriyatmoko, Head of Department of Transportation Establishments Udar Pristono, Head of the Public Works Department Ery Basworo, Administrative Assistant for Economic and Regional Secretary Establishments Hasan Basri, Head of Supervision and Control Building Day Saso, and Functions and Corporate Planning Director of PT Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit Eddi Santosa.

"I'm sorry to see developments in the capital caused by numerous problems, such as transport, spatial planning, water and roads ambrol incident yesterday," Habibie said in a press conference after the meeting.

"The purpose of this meeting to find out what the problem is, not through other people, but directly from Mr. Governor," added the former Head of the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) and the Minister of Research and Technology in the new order era.

On that occasion, President BJ Habibie to provide input to the Fauzi Bowo primarily related to experiences during the Head of BPPT and Research and Technology. Among the procurement of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) which has been reviewed in 1986. Indonesia Today
