Large magnitude earthquake, 7.4 on the Richter Scale, rocked the West Papua early this morning. According to data of Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake occurred at around 0:10 pm, Thursday, September 30, 2010, and known to be at coordinates 4.94 south latitude and 133.90 east longitude. The headquarters are in the depth of 25 kilometers, 141 miles southeast Kaimana, West Papua.
Until now there has been no report of damage, casualties or injuries.
After that happens three aftershocks. The first occurred at 0:58 pm at coordinates 4.66 south latitude and 134.18 east longitude. Strength 5.3 at a depth of 10 kilometar SR, 119 kilometers southeast Kaimana, West Papua.
The second aftershock occurred at 1:01 pm at 4:48 coordinates south latitude and 133.86 east longitude. This one a magnitude 5.2 at a depth of 108 kilometar SR, and occurred 90 km southeast Kaimana, West Papua.
