The future of Indonesia, there are no smart people here

Without realizing it, the time kept changing. In fact, behind the turn of the year, the Indonesian nation was facing serious problems. If left unchecked, this problem will cause major problems in the long term.

In fact, the real problem is in plain sight. Ironically, this has not been recognized by the government and society in general. Consequently, this issue continues to drag on to the detriment of Indonesia.

One notable phenomenon is the increasingly strong tendency Indonesian smart person who has a doctorate from abroad, have chosen to live and work abroad. They are the best doctors graduated from Yale, Cranfield, Stanford, MIT and others. Generally they were wrestling in the exact sciences and engineering fields such as engineering, physics, computer mathematics, and the like.

In 2007 only about 20-an Indonesian doctoral graduates choose to work abroad in Malaysia, 3 people working in Brunei, and about 5 people in Singapore. Every year Depdinkas inundated with requests by doctors who have completed bond department to be allowed to work abroad. And for the "print" a doctor at prestigious universities abroad, cost more than $ 30 thousand per year.

Indonesia smart about 250-300 students each year go to Singapore to lecture at universities such as Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, and Singapore Management University. Of the total students and Indonesian students in Singapore as many as 18,341 people, about 5448 of them are taking S-1, S-2, and S-3 in various courses. Singapore targets to recruit 150,000 foreign students by 2015.

There should be a groundbreaking policy to retain students remain bright and brilliant Indonesian assets. They do need to develop the science to leading universities in the world, but must be created conditions favorable for their passionate return to the country to devote their knowledge to the progress of the Indonesian nation.
