SEA Games Council Meeting in Jakarta

A total of 20 representatives of South East Asian Games Federation Sport and Rules Committee from 11 countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, East Timor, and host Indonesia) will meet at the Hotel Mulia, Complex Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (09/27/2010), to discuss preparation for the 26th SEA Games in Jakarta and South Sumatra.

"This meeting is a follow-up of the SEA Games Council meeting last May, and of course also be submitted to the delegation that the implementation of the SEA Games in Indonesia will be held in two places, Jakarta and South Sumatra," said Chairman of KONI / KOI Rita Subowo like NOC reported by the press mailing list.

The plan, some things that will be discussed in the meeting was about the confirmation of host cities and venues match sports branches of the 26th SEA Games.

The second agenda is to confirm the six branches of sport "new" which will be contested at the SEA Games. Additional sports which meant the bridge, rollerblading, paragliding, vovinam, climbing wall, and cricket. The third agenda, namely exposure of the SEA Games Federation Charter Amendment to be approved by the participants. The result of this amendment was submitted to the SEA Games Council meeting in November for endorsement.

While the final agenda is to plan the establishment of the SEA Games Office in Bangkok, Thailand, and the future work program. Besides the four main agenda, it is also possible additional agenda based on things that thrive in that meeting. The participants themselves are scheduled to arrive here on Sunday (09/26/2010), and the evening will be hosted by Chairman of the Central KOI Rita Subowo.
