Again, Indonesian Girl tortured in Saudi Arabia until blind


A women workers from Blitar, East Java, Hariyatin (32) suffered permanent blindness due to often tortured her employer in Saudi Arabia.

"I often tortured employer, because the things that are not clear. They do not care about my condition," said Hariyatin who met while reporting to the Department of Labor Blitar regency, on Tuesday (10/05/2010).

Hariyatin who came with her husband and children are admitted, the attitude of employers is very hard.

He was given no mercy, not even given a salary in accordance with the agreement. He even hired a day and night, without rest.

Hariyatin also admitted that his employer did not agree on the work started he arrived in Saudi Arabia.

Under the contract, he should work to Umi Hayya. However, by Umi Hayya he was asked to work in her home named Fatma.

While at home this Fatma, a variety of torture often he got. The torture he experienced four-month lapse of himself living in that place.

"Torture is not just in hand. My eyes were also beaten with water hoses, up to now I can not see," he said sadly.

In addition to experiencing physical abuse, and did not get a salary in accordance with the agreement, Hariyatin also pleaded not given proper food.

In one day, he ate only once, and even then with the potluck meal. He confessed, confused about to run away.

In addition to confinement in the house, he also does not have access to other friends, because all telephone access as deliberately closed.

Because the condition is severe, where both eyes were also injured, his employer Fatma eventually repatriate.

Ironically, when I got home, he's also not returned as appropriate. He entrusted his friend who returned home in East Java.

"I was entrusted by a friend whose house was also in East Java. I also was not given a full salary, only half of it," he said.

Hariyatin own claim to go to work to Saudi Arabia through a recruitment agency PT Myrtle Flowers True in 2006 and officially. He worked in Saudi Arabia for 3.5 years.

He has asked for accountability from agencies that dispatch. However, received no response, so decided to report to duty.

By reporting to the Department of Labor, he hopes to request assisted their rights. He asked, for the recruitment agency responsible with his health returns. Indonesia Today
