Maluku Governor Karel Albert Ralahalu, states fully supported the policies of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono postponed his state visit to the Netherlands.
"Maluku provincial government supports the postponement of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's visit to Holland," said Governor Ralahalu after a meeting with Director General for ASEAN Cooperation, Djauhari Oratmangun, in Ambon, on Wednesday night.
Ralahalu said the decision delays the planned visit to the Netherlands by President Yudhoyono is right because it involves the nation's dignity and honor. "It's about honor and national pride in Indonesia," he said.
According to the Governor, the plan to arrest President Yudhoyono who accused a group of people in the country's Windmills of the name of the movement of South Maluku Republic (RMS), has hurt the Indonesia-Netherlands bilateral relations that had been established well.
"It should have been improved relationship was not tainted by the interests of a group of people, because it has implications for the lack of harmony of the relationship between the two countries," he said
Governor admits, what is done in the Netherlands is the RMS group, had no impact on the situation in Maluku conducive.
"There is absolutely no impact and the public is not affected, it is evident that the international activities of Ambon Jazz Plus Festival (AJPF) 2010 and the workshop which was attended by some New ASEAN Ambassador (Ambassador) of friendly countries will take place in Ambon, 8-10 October," he said.
The governor also appealed to the people of Maluku to not be provoked by those of a group of people. "Let us keep the stability of the increasingly conducive security, do not hurt the hard-fighting heroes from Maluku," he said.
Ralahalu also affirmed the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is a fixed price for the people of Maluku, since the founding of Republic of Indonesia is the result of the struggle of Indonesia's best sons and daughters including the Moluccas.
"It must be remembered Maluku province is one of eight who founded this country," said Ralahalu.
