What Are Some Ubuntu Alternatives?

Ubuntu has become a version of Linux that most new users are now familiar. It is easy to use and easy to install making it a great beginner version of Linux. Although it is full featured as other alternatives out there, many are becoming curious about what other distributions of Linux or alternatives like Ubuntu.

First of all within Ubuntu itself, there are alternatives that offer a variety of graphical interfaces, but I still like Ubuntu Kubuntu and Xubuntu. These are the same basic ideas, but to run KDE and XFCE. There are also things like Linux Mint based on Ubuntu, but different experience. It can be tried if you happen to like Ubuntu, but you might want a different interface. It's really just a matter of interface you want to look at and interact with the long term.
