Defendant Abdurrahman aka Abdu (21), the accused killer of Japanese citizens, Hiromi Shimada (41) was sentenced to 10 years in prison by Denpasar District Court, Thursday, September 23, 2010.
"To declare the defendant guilty Abdurrahman provides the opportunity for [the killing] Mawardi to kill and tried to rape victims Hiromi Shimada" said Chief Justice, Putu Suika.
For his actions which have helped to kill and attempted rape against Hiromi Shimada, Abdurrahman defendant bears the Criminal Code article 339 of the murder which is preceded by another crime.
Sentences handed down to defendants Abdu lighter than the previous prosecution, which demands 13-year prison sentence.
Things that can alleviate the defendant accused always be polite, and have never been punished, so it was decided 10 years prison sentence.
"But there are things that incriminate the defendant for his actions against the victim Hiromi Shimada considered damaging tourism in Bali" said Suika.
On the verdict the defendant Abdu states accept punishment without appeal although given the opportunity to do so.
Abdurrahman is a co-Mawardi (31) is earlier sentenced to 20 years in prison for having proven killer Hiromi Shimada on Thursday, December 25, 2009 around 22:00 pm.
The victim was found dead in rented house Sadasari road No.17 Kuta, with 25 stab wounds and six. Before being killed by Abdu, the victim was raped and robbed of their possessions by Abdu and Mawardi.
