President Yudhoyono had insinuated the salaries of the directors of SOEs that are even above the salary of the President. With a larger salary than the president, SBY hope SOE performance improved and there was no corruption anymore.
This is confirmed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at the opening ceremony IBBEX 2010 in Jakarta Conventional Center, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (23/09/2010).
"SOE Director may pay above the President but the important is the performance should be good, not to pay 10 times more than the President but have bad performance. The performance should be good, let's increase the performance," said SBY.
Yudhoyono underlined during his speech about the corruption that is considered to undermine the performance of SOEs. With a very firm SBY will not tolerate corruption in SOEs.
"Zero corruption in SOEs, underline my words, there is no tolerance of corruption in SOEs. SOEs should be efficient must be zero corruption," said SBY.
