Governor of the Province of Bangka Belitung (Babel), Eko Maulana Ali, stated, Belitung Island was used as the destination (destination) national tour.
"Belitung Island has become a tourist destination and a national tourism icon, so that all districts should support the progress of the world of tourism in this province," he said in Pangkalpinang.

He also said some tourism activities both locally and nationally will continue to be held on the island of Belitung considering transportation is adequate.
He said, investors have expressed interest and willingness to invest in Belitung in both the tourism sector and other sectors.
