Police hunt for suspects who set fire to railway carriages in the Rangkasbitung station


Three people named as a suspect in the case of burning of the 25 carriage train station Rangkasbitung, Banten, which occurred on Monday (11/10/2010). Officers are now pursuing the three suspects were already known to exist.

This was stated by the Banten Police Chief Gen. Pol Agus Gusnadi, after a meeting with the joint team investigating the burning of 25 cars in the train station Banten, in Mapolres Lebak, on Wednesday (10/13/2010).

"The team combined that consists of district police Lebak, Banten Police and Police Headquarters, has set three people as suspects," he said.

Banten police chief said the establishment of three joint team was based on examination of 19 witnesses. "From the information that we examine 19 witnesses, testimony of witnesses led to the three people who are now included in the DPO and already we knew existed," he explained.

Three suspects were EK, which is known as a recidivist, the EO is known as a pickpocket, and BF who is a citizen of the station. Police also say do not see any element of negligence in the burning of dozens of these railway carriages.

"From the inspection team found no element of it, so apparently was deliberately burned," he said.

Police added the location, the team found three hotspots derived from gasoline that is in lane 3, 4 and 6. But when asked what the motive was burning, he said there was still deepening

"So there is no negligence, but segaja burned using gasoline," said Brigadier General Agustin.

Meanwhile, Chief of Station Rangkasbitung Suratman are still examined by the joint investigating team. Indonesia Today
