Saudi Arabia rape 5 Indonesian Girls


Five female workers from the village of Dunggua, Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, a rape victim in Saudi Arabia. However, so far they have not gotten the attention of Indonesian Labor Service Company and the government.

According to him, one of the victims were AY (25) who had been raped by her employer to have children and dinafkahi own by the family of LM in the absence of responsibility of the recruitment agency.

He recounts, AY went to Saudi Arabia in 2005 for services PT Momenson Sejatera in Jakarta. Over the past 27 months AY not get salaries. In addition, employers are often tortured and raped until pregnant AY.

He considered, the number of maids who are victims of persecution in foreign countries, mainly due to lack of knowledge about workers' rights and procedures for requesting protection.

"Now we encourage local governments to allocate funds for counseling for prospective tenga be dispatched to work abroad," he said.
