Due sued Australian National Lines (ANL), two cargo ships owned by PT Djakarta Lloyd, Indonesian state-owned shipping company, were arrested in Singapore waters nearly two years. A total of 32 crew who were also detained are not allowed to leave the ship. In fact, the logistics and food is no longer supplied.
Two cargo ships owned by PT Djakarta Lloyd was arrested in Singapore waters. The ship was located about five miles from Marina South, Singapore. Detention of the two vessels made after the lawsuit Australian National Lines for company PT Djakarta Lloyd by 3.3 million U.S. dollars, or about Rp29, 3 billion met the Singapore courts.
Second cargo ship detained, namely KM Makassar and Pontianak KM. KM Makassar detained in Singapore waters since February 2009, while the MI Pontiac arrested four months later. Both the cargo ship each manned by 18 crew, while 4 KM Pontiac crew allowed to go home by the courts of Singapore for humanitarian reasons.
According to KM Makassar captain, Captain Syafrudin who was contacted by telephone said the crew was not allowed off the ship during the arrest took place. In fact, supply logistics and the food was not to mention they receive.
According Syafrudin, the crew experienced severe stress and approaching madness. Because the sailor should get the right off the boat at least one day a week.
Both the cargo ship daily routes usually operate at Tanjung Priok-Singapore-Thailand. Now the two cargo ships are guarded by security authorities in Singapore for 24 hours. Indonesia Today
